A grass fire occurred today on China Road in Albion due to unauthorized burning. The fire consumed 3 acres and spread into the woods. Given the high fire danger today, no burning permits are being issued.

Albion Fire assisted China Village Volunteer Fire Department today with a brush fire. Fire conditions are very dry with winds increasing the fire danger.

Today Tank 4 and Brush 5 assisted the Winslow Fire Dept with a structure and woods fire.

The cause of a fire that destroyed two structures and displaced a family Monday afternoon is now under investigation, officials say.
