Albion Fire-Rescue

Albion Fire-Rescue Albion Fire-Rescue is a municipal fire & EMS department located in Central Maine.

Our Department was founded in 1947 in the wake of Maine’s worst forest fire year. In 1993 our EMS division was formed and provides emergency medical service to our community and beyond. Today we have nearly 40 dedicated members who are led by Fire Chief Andrew Clark. Our members attend regular meetings and training to stay up to date on current fire and EMS trends and technologies.

Yesterday, August 10th, at 2:45 pm Albion Fire-Rescue was dispatched to the Winslow Road for a truck on fire. Units arrived on scene within 4 minutes and found 2 trucks and a trailer on fire in close proximity to a house. The fire was quickly extinguished. Engine 1, Engine 3, Tank 4, Rescue 2 and 11 firefighters responded.

Your Albion firefighters are out doing annual testing of our dry hydrants. This helps ensure that our hydrants are operational when they are needed.

This also provides a great training opportunity for our firefighters to keep up their skills.

Albion Fire-Rescue joined Palermo Fire to pay our respects to Morrill firefighter Andrew Cross.

On 5/15 Albion Engine 3 and Tank 4 responded to the fire scene in Searsmont. Engine 1 and our ambulance covered other calls in a portion of Waldo County from the Liberty fire station.

Thank you to Winslow Fire and Clinton Fire who covered our town while we were busy.
