The beautiful grand Dame has been restored to her original stately form. All of the Christmas decorations have been removed. We left her better than we found her. A few less dust kitties and cobwebs.....but if you look in just the right crack or crevice you just might see a reluctant sparkle. One that loved the spirit of this wonderful old house too much to leave, even with the swoosh of the broom or suction of a vacuum.
Thanks to all those who visited and “ooud” and “auhd” at her in her finest Christmas garb.
Also thank you to the high school music teachers and students who came, shared their musical talents to make visiting her even a more precious memory.
I speak on behalf of (and with gratitude for) all of us that shared our Christmas spirit, talents, and time with the grand old lady. Thank you

Very soon the Painter House will be filled with the wonderful sounds of Christmas carols and instrumentals! THANK YOU to the Edwards County High School Band and Vocals Team and Director Sara Swardstrom for bringing your gifts of music to the Painter House from 2:00PM to 8:00PM!

What an honor it has been to decorate the beautiful Washington Painter House for the Christmas Tour! Thank you to these ladies and many more!
