The CJ3 Foundation’s Kendall Place is a historic landmark/residence in Albia, IA used to house our Nation’s Wounded Heroes while they receive much needed CJ3 Mental Health & Wellness interventions. The house was built in 1907 and was owned and lived in by Iowa’s 23rd Governor, Nathan E. Kendall.

Renovations Specialists installed new cabinets behind Nate’s Bar and a bar refrigerator at the CJ3 Foundation's Kendall Place today! The CJ3 Foundation is thrilled to complete these projects as it’s one step closer toward completion of the historic home!

The CJ3 Foundation made the Monroe County Iowa News for improvements and additions recently made to the CJ3 Foundation's Kendall Place. New exterior doors were installed as well as a lift was put in on the back staircase. These are just a couple of the latest renovations made to the historic home to make it more livable and accessible for our CJ3 Recipients (Wounded Heroes) who stay there while going through the CJ3 Mental Health & Wellness program.

The new lift was installed on the back stairway of the CJ3 Foundation's Kendall Place. This is a gamechanger in making the second floor accessible to handicapped CJ3 Recipients with mobility issues. A BIG thank you to 101 Mobility (Coralville, IA) and to Bruno Independent Living Aids (Oconomowoc, WI) for helping the CJ3 Foundation with this project and for their graciousness at keeping costs down to help support our CJ3 Mission - “Serving Our Nation’s Wounded Heroes!”

Thank you to "Renovation Specialists" in Albia, IA for installing the nice, new, and beautiful exterior doors on the CJ3 Foundation's Kendall Place. The CJ3 Foundation continues to update and upgrade the building to improve the experience for the Wounded Heroes who stay there while undergoing the CJ3 Mental Health & Wellness program.

In response to that question, we would like to introduce the CJ3 Foundation's Kendall Place Restoration Project and Campaign!

Now you can directly support our CJ3 Mental Health & Wellness Initiative by donating to the CJ3 Foundation's Kendall Place Restoration Campaign! This Campaign allows us to provide safe, accessible housing and services to our Recipients as they participate in our CJ3 Foundation Mental Health & Wellness Program.

The CJ3 Foundation is renovating the Kendall Place, making efforts to maintain much of the history of the property, while incorporating the necessary amenities for CJ3 Recipients. These renovations cost money to complete.
