Operation: Helping Hands

Operation: Helping Hands Operation: Helping Hands is a family of missions at Lifepoint Church, both local and global, that fo How? Last, also still in development, is Christmas for All.

*More Info*
Though we are still in the developmental stages for some of the missions we plan to include one had been a long standing effort and that is where our story begins. The largest scale project that now falls under O.H.H is our involvement with Samaritan's Purse, Operation Christmas Child, or shoeboxes as some may know it. We will be collecting items year round! *DONATION SCHEDULE COMING S

OON* With plans to do more boxes every year. Our next effort, still in development, is being created to help support children in foster care by helping their foster parents. A Foster Closet, donated clothes free of charge to foster parents as they need to meet the needs they have on short notice. Our next effort, also still in development, is Emergent Care Bags. These will be bags with basic toiletries created for men and women who have encountered some type of emergency and don't have access to those things. We plan to hold back any toys that can't go in shoeboxes and at some point take donations to be able to meet last minute emergency needs at Christmas. We are so blessed that God made a way for this ministry to grow so much and we can not wait to see where it will go!

Take a minute to read this!

When I was 8 years old, my parents were imprisoned for stealing. The orphanage my sister and I found ourselves in shortly after was a relief. The adults there helped raise my sister, send us to school, and protect us from our abusive home.

At my lowest point of feeling unloved and worthless, God brought me an unexpected gift: a shoebox wrapped in colorful paper.

I was afraid to open it, fearing this was another false hope. What if the inside wasn’t as bright as the outside? But I was amazed that the shoebox was filled with pink gifts — and even a doll.

The most impactful part was a colorful booklet about Jesus and His love for me. I’d never heard of that kind of love before. I thought it was a fairy tale. The Creator of everything came down and died for someone like me? I couldn’t wrap my mind around that. Even in my doubt, I hoped that it was a true story and that maybe there was Someone who watched over me. I began praying to God, asking Him to give me a loving family.

When I was 12 years old, God provided a Christian family who adopted both my sister and me.
God used my adopted parents to show me that He’s a good Father. My parents even learned how to say “I love you” in my native language. When I felt like I could lose their love or like any misbehavior could lead them to send me away, my parents reassured me: “God loves you, we love you, and there’s nothing you can do to change that.”

I can now see His handprints throughout my life. He provides for me, restores my crushed spirit, and is my comfort. I can rely on Him because I know He’s in control.

-Operation Christmas Child

How can you trust God today to restore your crushed spirit?

You may not see the impact you make, but someone smiled today because of something you said, something you did, or simply because you exist.

Ever wonder why we do so many fundraisers or are constantly asking for crayons, jump ropes, pencil pouches, etc.? Take a look at these projections for a baseline cost for our 2025 shoebox goal of 2,500 boxes. These numbers do not reflect the costs of any quite a few things that we do purchase but this give you an idea of what will be spent on the necessary items to be packed!

As always, we ask for your prayers for the year! If you or your life group would like to plan a packing party, please let us know. If you would like to donate items or make a monetary donation that is greatly appreciated also, but we do know that God will provide if it is His plan!

Huge thanks to all of you who are always donating or supporting us throughout the year! We could not do this without you!
