Shoutout to our 2024–2025 Work-Based Learning Students!

This year, 159 AHS and AIA students gained real-world experience through co-op placements, logging a whopping 112,269 hours on the job and earning over $1.2 million in wages!

But it’s not just about the paycheck—these Aggies earned school credit while building valuable career-ready skills like communication, responsibility, time management, and professionalism. They’ve gained confidence, experience, and a head start on their futures!

A huge thank you to all of the businesses who employ these young men and women throughout the school year. The lessons many of them are learning on the job are just as important as what we do in the classroom each day.

Estrella works hard in the classroom and at her job! So proud of this young lady!

Big congratulations to AHS senior Estrella Diaz Rosales! She received the President's Award for dual enrollment during the Snead Awards Night. Estrella has earned enough dual enrollment credits to graduate from Snead before she graduates from AHS! Congratulations, Estrella, on this outstanding accomplishment!

We are all so proud of each of these students, but I need to give a big congratulations to Elliot Howard! She works hard in the classroom and she works hard at her job. Be sure to tell her congratulations next time you are grabbing a coffee at Food City!

Beyond proud of these kids for their hard work! It takes A LOT of prep and studying to make it to HOSA State Conference. We had kids compete in many different events. Anything from tests, to a months long project with data collections and reports, to complete health lessons prepared and taught to surrounding schools, to prepared health related speeches given in front of a panel of judges, and more.
But this year…. We’re going to NATIONALS!! We had one top 6 finisher, Libni Banda Ramos, and one 2nd place finisher, Elliot Howard!
Lots of memories made and huge congratulations to ALL of the kids for their hard work and dedication! Congrats to Elliot and Libni for their top finishes! ❤️🖤
