Our 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program is off to an AMAZING start! 📚🎉Congrats to all these awesome little readers!

Reading together helps little ones build vocabulary, develop early literacy skills, strengthen their imaginations, and create a lifelong love of reading, all while spending quality time together!

And the best part? You don’t have to read 1,000 different books! Re-reading favorite stories absolutely counts. 😉

September is Library Card Sign Up Month! So whether you've never had a library card, or haven't used yours in a while, we'd love to see you this month!

To sign up for a card, stop by the library with:

Fall programs start this week at the Albert Lea Public Library! Join us for our now monthly Nighttime Storytime on Tuesday, September 1 at 6:30 p.m. Adults can join us for Needles, Pins and More on Thursday. Tweens and teens - get ready for homecoming by making your own spirit tee! Registration is required.

As a reminder, the library will be closed on Sunday, September 6 and Monday, September 7.
