It is time to Fall into Books here at Endy!! The Fall Book Fair is kicking off on 9/18 with a student and teacher preview and will run through the following week. We love to ensure our students are able to build their own library at home while supporting our school.

Students will have the option to shop with their teachers on Friday 9/18 and Monday 9/21 during their MMAPS class time. We HIGHLY encourage you to set up your students e-Wallet account and preview the books that are at the Fair through this link https://www.scholastic.com/bf/endyelementaryschool. Cash is still accepted.

Tuesday 9/22, Wednesday, 9/23 and Thursday 9/24 are our Lunch and Shop days where parents can eat lunch with their student and then shop the Book Fair with them! Be sure to adhere to your students assigned day due to a large number of participation with this event. Make it a date. Be sure to have your student get in the Book Fair spirit with our dress up days in honor of new books at the Fair. Check out the attached flyers! See you at the Fair!

This year at Endy, Kindergarten through 5th grade classrooms have been split into 4 teams, or, “nests.” Each Quarter, our students will focus on different character-building skills, and then come together with their Nest to celebrate their accomplishments, while also competing to see which Nest was most successful as they earn “feathers” for showing character-building skills! This quarter, the focus is “Encourage Others,” and today was our first Nest Meeting to practice what it looks like to be encouraging! ❤️

Bus 49 (using bus 50) is delayed. Please have students at their stop approximately 1 hour after normal pick up time. The bus is cleared to start the route now.

Car rider was the best one yet, yesterday!

A few helpful tips:
- Unload/ load students only at the school-side of your vehicle for safety.
- Parents may not exit their vehicle in the car rider line.
- If you need to help your student with buckling, etc. pull to the gravel lot across from the parking lot to traffic may continue to flow.
- If you arrive past 7:25 and the car rider line is clear, you must walk your student in.
- Keep practicing those car rider numbers!

Check out our new and improved car rider line! Please study the pick-up directions below so we can safely get our students home in the quickest way possible.

Starting tomorrow (Monday), all students are expected to know their car rider number and all families must have a green Endy-issued car tag. (The permanent tags from PTO should be available soon!)

Students who don’t know their number, or cars without the proper tag, will be sent to the flag pole and can slow the process for everyone.

Practice those numbers, RedHawks!

As we wrap up this first Friday of the school year, let's start thinking a"head" for Friday Hat Days! All students are allowed to wear a hat to school on Friday IF they purchase the Yearlong Hat Pass or pay $1 each Friday. The perks of purchasing the Yearlong Hat Pass is that you get 5 Fridays for FREE and it's a one and done for the year! Check out the attached flyer for more info and the QR to purchase with PTO. Thank you for your support as these funds go directly back to the school for support in many areas.
