Stanly County EMS is starting this initiative to help show our older adults in nursing homes a bit of love this holiday season. If you feel led to donate an unused teddy bear, you can bring it to any EMS base or to the EMS office in the courthouse's basement.

On Monday April 8, 2024, South Side Fire department was awarded by the State Fire Marshall, Brian Taylor, with a ISO rating of 3/9E! South Side Fire Department was previously rated as a 5.

This is a huge achievement for South Side which includes fast response time, hard work, long hours of dedicated training, and striving everyday to make the department better as a whole and then some.

Move things that can burn away from the stove, and keep your stovetop clean. This includes dishtowels, bags, boxes, paper and curtains.
