On August 27, 2026, the Brothers of the Beta Nu Sigma and Beta Psi Chapters had the distinct honor of attending another installment of the Albany State University President’s Speaker Series, featuring our distinguished Brother, the Honorable Bro. Devon M. Henry.

Bro. Henry, thank you for visiting Albany State University and for pouring words of wisdom, knowledge, and encouragement into our students and the Albany community. Your presence and message were truly impactful, and we appreciate you sharing your experiences and insights with the next generation of leaders.

The local chapters would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to our State Director, Bro. Dr. Walter Stephens, for joining us and supporting this special occasion.

It was an honor to fellowship, learn, and represent Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. at Albany State University.

Today, the Brothers of the Beta Nu Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. proudly participated in the Annual National Night Out, hosted by the Dougherty County Police Department.

National Night Out is a nationwide community-building campaign that promotes strong partnerships between law enforcement and the communities they serve. It provides an opportunity for residents, public safety professionals, businesses, and civic organizations to come together in a positive environment to strengthen trust, enhance public safety, and foster neighborhood unity.

The Brothers of Beta Nu Sigma were honored to stand alongside community stakeholders in support of this important initiative. Meaningful change happens when organizations, law enforcement, and community members work together. Events like National Night Out strengthen relationships, build trust, and create opportunities to positively impact the lives of our youth and families.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the Dougherty County Police Department for hosting another outstanding National Night Out and for their continued dedication to community policing and public service.

Together, we are building safer neighborhoods, stronger relationships, and a brighter future for Albany and Dougherty County.

The Beta Nu Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. is proud to share our recognition at the Dougherty/Lee Counties 2026 Relay For Life held this April.

Our chapter team was honored as a Rising Star Team, raising an incredible $2,324.39 in support of cancer awareness, research, and survivor services.

We also celebrate our Chapter President, Bro. Dr. Robert Ausby, for earning a Grand Club Certificate.

We extend heartfelt thanks to every donor and supporter who contributed to this effort. Your generosity fuels hope, strengthens communities, and helps move us closer to a cure. 💜

Special congratulations to the best State Director, Bro. Dr. Walter Stephens on his induction into the Outstanding Sigmas of the Southern Region.

In honor of those who fought and survived, and in memory of those who battled cancer until the very end, the Beta Nu Sigma and Beta Psi Chapters of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. proudly participated in Relay for Life in Albany, Georgia.

American Cancer Society Relay For Life, brings communities together to celebrate survivors, remember loved ones lost, and take action against a disease that has impacted so many families. The event not only raises critical funds for cancer research, patient support, and education, but also serves as a powerful reminder that no one fights alone.

We would also like to sincerely thank everyone who supported our fundraising efforts. Together, we raised $2,298.01. This collective achievement reflects the unwavering commitment of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. to service, advocacy, and uplifting communities. It underscores Sigma’s dedication to making a meaningful impact—standing in the gap for those in need and contributing to the ongoing fight against cancer.

Tonight was truly a night of celebration with the Boys & Girls Club of Albany, Georgia at the 38th Annual Steak and Burger Dinner. The Brothers of the Beta Nu Sigma Chapter were proud to be in attendance, supporting a mission that continues to shape the lives of young people in our community.

A special thank you to Malachi from the Jane Willson Boys & Girls Club for spending time with us at our table. Your energy and presence made the evening even more impactful. The Spider Man hand sign was perfect.
