Albany Democrats know no shame!

For years they’ve attacked the Independent Redistricting Commission, and now they’re even using the President as their latest excuse to gut the commission.

There is nothing democratic about what’s happening here. This is nothing more than Albany Democrats grabbing power for themselves.

It must be stopped now.

I stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Congressman Mike Lawler and my Republican colleagues. The Albany Democrats’ latest attempt to undermine the Independent Redistricting Commission is a shameless assault on the voter approved safeguards we currently have in place to prevent this exact form of partisan gerrymandering.

“National politics” is just the latest excuse to go after the IRC, it’s a blatant power grab. We have fair maps. This is nothing more than a single-party scheme to rig the system. If Democrats get their way, the 43% of New Yorkers who voted for the sitting president in 2024 will be largely disenfranchised.

We must protect the will of the voters and keep New York’s maps fair. Upstate New Yorkers deserve real representation, not districts drawn in a backroom to benefit one party.

The is a major asset for the Mohawk Valley that brings together the Air Force, colleges, and private companies to develop cutting-edge technology right here in our region. This collaboration strengthens our national security, creates good-paying jobs, and attracts talented students from all over.

Facilities like this are exactly what we need to grow our economy and build a strong future for Upstate New York. I’m grateful for the important work being done and remain committed to supporting initiatives that strengthen our tech ecosystem and keep our communities competitive.

We have the highest state and local taxes in the entire country — $12,500 per person in New York State.

Yet the Tax Foundation ranks us dead last at #50 in the United States.

Our budget just went up 5.6%, while inflation was only 2.6%. What gives?

Why are we spending more than we need to in New York?

This is spending at historical levels — up from $170 billion in 2019 to nearly $270 billion in 2026. We spend more than any other major state in the country.

California spends $349 billion with 40 million people. Texas spends just $169 billion with 31 million people. And Florida spends only $114 billion with 23 million people.

Is it any wonder that a million people have left upstate New York in recent years?”

I had the opportunity to recognize and honor the incredible sacrifices made by our . While service members answer the call to duty, their families serve alongside them — often carrying the weight of long deployments, uncertainty, and sacrifice with remarkable strength and resilience.

As a veteran, I know firsthand that behind every service member is a strong support system, and military spouses deserve our gratitude and recognition not just today, but every day.

🚨 Rushed Bad Policy Behind Closed Doors — I’m Voting NO.

We are here on a message of necessity trying to fix bad policy that Albany created, but they’re doing it under the cover of a rushed process with no public hearings, no opportunity for the public to be heard, and no chance for state commissioners to be questioned by the representatives of the people.

That is wrong. It’s bad policy. For that reason, I voted NO on this bad bill.

🚨 NY’s Green Mandates Are Ending — But Not Fast Enough.

We are finally tapping the brakes on the disastrous 2019 green climate laws bill because reality has caught up with Albany’s green new scam.

Electricity rates are through the roof. Gasoline, propane, natural gas, and diesel prices are driving small businesses and large employers right out of our state. Upstate New York has been decimated, and families are struggling under these unsustainable mandates.

While some delays are better than nothing, this doesn’t go far enough. We need full repeal of Albany’s green climate laws..
