Per City Administration:

Sanitary Sewer Notice -

You all are probably very familiar with the lack of toilet paper at area stores. This has resulted in some interesting discussions on social media about "alternate" product use from baby wipes, flushable wipes, and other household items. Please note that these products DO NOT BREAKDOWN like Toilet Paper and can cause sanitary sewer backups which in turn can cause additional public health concerns.

PLEASE DO NOT FLUSH ITEMS OTHER THAN TOILET PAPER DOWN YOUR TOILETS.

The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office is experiencing a temporary disruption of services with calls to 911 in some areas of Stearns County. Not all the calls being made to 911 from a landline are ringing into the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office. Stearns County officials are working with local telephone companies to resolve the issue. The telephone companies cannot determine how many customers or what specific areas are affected by this disruption of services and it is unknown how long it will last.

Anyone in need of emergency services is encouraged to call the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office non-emergency number for the most direct and quickest emergency services response at (320) 251-4240.

Any cell phone calls made to 911 will still be answered as usual. The disruption of services only affects landlines.

**Please note, this will include alarm systems that go through a monitoring system.**
