The New York Festival Barge, also known as the , was a 250-foot converted railroad car that traveled New York’s waterways in celebration of the 200th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The barge, organized by the New York State American Revolution Bicentennial Commission, featured exhibitions on the history of New York and the life of New Yorkers at the time of the American Revolution. It made 37 stops throughout the state between the months of June and October of 1976 and was visited by nearly one million people. https://ow.ly/k2YQ50Z1MXY
