Helping businesses grow doesn't stop once they're open—it means providing the resources, connections, and education they need to thrive.

Recently, our own Kirsten Hayes partnered with the Georgia Tech Food and Beverage Accelerator and the Georgia Grown Resource Center to host *Accelerating Your Food Business*, bringing together food entrepreneurs from across Southwest Georgia for a day of learning, collaboration, and growth.

From scaling operations to accessing valuable business resources, participants gained practical insights to help take their businesses to the next level.

Thank you to our partners at Georgia Tech Food and Beverage Accelerator, the Georgia Grown Resource Center, and the Albany Welcome Center for helping make this event possible.

We're excited to continue supporting the entrepreneurs, innovators, and small businesses that help drive our regional economy forward. 🌱

Jana D**e joined the Albany Area Chamber’s 2026 D.C. Fly-In alongside regional leaders, elected officials, business professionals, and community partners to advocate for the continued growth and success of Southwest Georgia.

Throughout the week, the delegation participated in important conversations surrounding economic development, workforce growth, infrastructure, healthcare, agriculture, and military support, including continued advocacy for Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany.

The annual Fly-In continues to strengthen relationships and ensure Southwest Georgia’s priorities are represented at the national level while creating opportunities for long-term growth back home. 🇺🇸🤝

A meaningful evening focused on building international relationships and creating new opportunities for South Georgia.

ADEDC President & CEO Jana D**e recently joined state and business leaders in Atlanta to welcome the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Georgia during a special reception hosted by Arnall Golden Gregory LLP. Conversations centered around strengthening partnerships, expanding global connections, and exploring future investment opportunities for Southwest Georgia through the Czech Business Incubator Atlanta.

As our region continues to grow, ADEDC remains committed to fostering relationships that support economic development, innovation, and long-term investment across our region.

We were proud to attend the Regional Roundtable hosted at Albany State University featuring Georgia Chamber President Chris Clark.

We were especially proud to see two of our board members, Chris Hatcher, Chair, and Emmett Griswold, participate in one of the event’s panel discussions focused on regional growth, collaboration, and economic opportunity.

Conversations like these continue to move our region forward and reinforce the importance of strong partnerships across Southwest Georgia.

This week, our team had the opportunity to participate in the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce Go See Tour at Georgia Southwestern State University.

The Albany Area Chamber’s Go See Tour is an interactive, behind-the-scenes program designed to highlight local education, business, and workforce initiatives across our region. During the visit, we learned more about how GSW is preparing students for success while supporting the evolving workforce needs of Southwest Georgia.

Programs like this play an important role in strengthening community connections, encouraging engagement, and building the talent pipeline that supports long-term economic growth.
