On May Day, Albany answered the call for a general strike, following a long tradition of worker solidarity and unity!

Community members and organizers engaged in the labor movement, the Black liberation movement, the anti-war movement, and the movement for immigrant rights came together in a display of working class power.

It’s our labor that keeps this system running, and we have the power to shut it down. When workers stand side by side, we can change the world!

On May 1 - International Workers Day, Newburgh SHUT IT DOWN!

Newburgh immigrant rights groups, labor organizers and community members took the streets on May 1st to exercise our power - the power of the people!

The people joined in unity to demand:
☑️ ICE out of our communities
☑️ Protection for immigrant workers
☑️ Access to housing, education, and healthcare for ALL

Together we commemorated the 20th anniversary of the “Day Without an Immigrant” general strike, demonstrating a simple truth: the U.S. economy runs on immigrant labor.

Newburgh: let’s keep up the momentum and fight to expand the General Strike! Join the struggle for a socialist future today: pslweb.org/mayday hi

“We are a part of the largest family in human history — the working class!”

On International
Workers Day, Albany joined the call to shut down this billionaire system!

Community members walked out of their workplaces and classrooms to take to the streets to stand up against the relentless assault on the working class.

Workers are sick and tired of the crushing cost of living, ICE kidnapping our neighbors, and endless war that only serves to enrich the billionaire class.

It’s our labor that keeps this system running, and we have the power to shut it down. When workers stand side by side, we can change the world!

💥 Tomorrow millions of people across the country will make history in a day of no work, no school and no shopping to protest Trump’s war on our rights. Join the strike to take a stand against
ICE terror and mass deportations!

The Trump administration is just as committed as ever to ripping families apart. The people’s struggle in Minnesota forced them to back off of some tactics, but they are coming up with new, cruel ways to make life unbearable for our immigrant neighbors and force them out of the country. Just like the people in the Twin Cities showed, there’s nothing that can force ICE and Border Patrol to retreat like a general strike!

Rather than hundreds of billions spent detaining and deporting people who work hard and contribute to our communities, these resources should be used to meet people’s needs in a society where everyone’s rights are respected.

🗣️ BRING YOUR T-SHIRTS!

Join us this Sunday for a free, community print day commemorating the legacy of the immigrant labor struggle and our commitment to expanding the general strike.

Together we will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the “Day Without an Immigrant” general strike, one of the largest days of protest in modern history. On that day, workers across the country walked out of their jobs, students left classrooms, and businesses shut their doors to demonstrate a simple truth: the U.S. economy runs on immigrant labor.

Millions of people will carry on that torch this May Day by answering the call for a general strike. This goes beyond one day of action, we will continue building the movement to end ICE terror and put the power in the hands of the people, once and for all!

Hosted by our friends over at and in partnership with ! Come through, bring your shirts, and join the fight for a better world ✊🏾

🗣️ “ITS OUR MONEY AND IT SHOULD WORK FOR US”

Last week, we held an emergency protest demanding the US fully end its war of aggression on Iran. Trump’s outrageous threats to implement a Blockade on Iran and the Straight of Hormuz while allowing Israel to carry out massacres in Lebanon tells us that the US is not interested in peace. We demand that the trillions of dollars used to enrich oil and weapons industry executives are used to meet the needs of the people instead!

We call on all workers to take part in a day of no work, no school and no shopping this May Day. As workers, we have the power to stop Trump in his tracks!
