As a freshman legislator in my first term, I am so proud to be able to deliver historic funding for the city of Albany in this year’s budget.

Working hand in hand with my colleagues in the Capital District delegation, Senator Patricia A. Fahy and Assemblymember John McDonald, we secured an additional $24.4 million in new aid to assist the City of Albany as they navigate their fiscal crisis. This is combined with $20 million in reoccurring Capital City funding that has been won through the hard work of my partners in the Legislature. I am so appreciative of the incredible leadership of Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie, Senate Majority Leader Stewart-Cousins, and Gov Hochul - without them this would not be possible.

I’m energized to keep moving forward and excited to tell you all about the many other WINS we got in this budget for the rest of the 109th Assembly District! 💛⚡️🙌
