First and foremost - thank you to everyone that came out and voted yesterday in your local elections! It is so important to support and be involved in what happens at the local level. It's where you can truly make a difference. And thank you to friends and family for your support far and wide! My love to all of you!

While I didn't quite make the cut to become a Trustee for the Albany NY Library, my love for and commitment to the library is as strong as ever! The four candidates that will now become Trustees are all great humans that clearly expressed their passion and commitment to serve and I have no doubt they will serve well! Congratulations to them!

I walk away from the experience excited for the future of the library, and proud of myself for getting out there and challenging myself in a new way. And who knows - maybe I'll run again when there's another opening!

IT'S OFFICIAL!! I dropped off the nomination forms yesterday and today I received notification that I am officially on the ballot for the Albany NY Library board! (Thank you to all who signed my nomination forms!)

I'm excited for this opportunity - and now I'm looking at all of you to help SPREAD THE WORD! The election will be on May 17 in conjunction with the library budget vote and school board elections and budget vote.

So if you're an Albany City registered voter... or know someone that is... please spread the word and vote!

I'll hopefully have some campaign material to share soon, so stay tuned!

We had an amazing time at the Planet Word Museum in D.C. today! Defintely spoke to my love of language and power of words! It reminded me why I want to run for Albany Public Library board!
