This week, WRAP is launching Love Letters to Alamosa - a creative storytelling series to share what you love most about this community!

Love notes can be:
-A favorite photo
-A short written note

How to participate:
-Post your love note on Facebook or Instagram and tag WRAP (or comment on this post!)

Participants will be entered into a drawing to win a gift card to a local restaurant!

Note: Please make sure you have permission from anyone featured in your photos. Submissions may be shared on social media and included in the Comprehensive Plan.

One-on-one meetings are still available June, July, and August for property owners and stakeholders to discuss the Access Control Plan (ACP). Additionally, a Public Open House will be held on Thursday, July 23rd, from 5:30 p.m.–7:30 p.m. at City Hall.

Victoria Avenue Safety Improvement Road Work Beginning Monday, June 8th

Alamosa, CO –Beginning Monday, June 8th, City crews will be working on Victoria Avenue at the intersection of Stuart Avenue and First Street to install safety improvements. This project was necessitated by a notable increase in vehicular crashes and near‐miss incidents involving eastbound traffic traveling from Stuart Avenue to First Street.

The planned safety improvements include installing a 3‐way stop and eliminating eastbound movements from Stuart Avenue to First Street and southbound movements turning east from Victoria Avenue onto First Street. These changes are aimed at reducing conflict points and improving overall traffic safety.

During construction, temporary closures will occur on Stuart Avenue and First Street. Please plan ahead and use alternate routes throughout the work period.
