All of CHINS Centers are making the call to close for today - Full House, Children’s House, The Learning Tree House/FH2 and The Launch Pad. Many streets throughout Alamogordo are flooded including many near our buildings. The weather reports more rain to come which is our greatest concern. We don’t wish to get into a circumstance where you cant reach your child and our staff cant get home. Be safe out there and check our Facebook site tomorrow for any updates. We plan on being open tomorrow as it appears we will get a break in the weather by morning prior to opening.

Families All CHINS Childcare Centers are expected to be open again tomorrow, Thursday Sept. 24th. Do check this page for any updates in the morning but it would appear the rain will be slowing down per the weather reports.

All CHINS Childcare Centers are closing Today. We are already seeing flooding at The Learning Tree House and water coming in at The Launch Pad. A few years ago we we had serious flooding at Children’s House when water rushed down the mountain and thank goodness that was on a Saturday and no one was at the center. Some Staff are having a difficult time getting in due to flooding. This rain is expected through out the day and we don’t want to be in a situation where you cannot reach your child should we wait and the situation gets more serious which is quite possible. We are sorry for the inconvenience but children’s and staff safety is our first priority.

Learning from Our Local Heroes! 👩‍🚒🚒🧯🔥
The Launch Pad Pre-K had a special visit from the Alamogordo Fire Department! The kiddos learned about fire safety, firefighter equipment, and how these community heroes help keep us safe. We had so much fun learning, exploring, and asking questions! A big thank you to the Alamogordo Fire Department for visiting our PreK!

The Launch Pad Pre-K enjoyed reading in our outdoor learning environment today! By bringing books outdoors, we’re making literacy a natural part of play and exploration. PreK practiced storytelling, building vocabulary, making connections, and sharing their ideas while enjoying a good book in the fresh air! ☀️ 📚

Learning happens everywhere at The Launch Pad PreK! Outside, our children are discovering nature, asking questions, solving problems, and learning through hands-on exploration. 🌱🦋☀️
