The Alamogordo City Commission will hold its regular meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, October 13, at 6:30 p.m. in the Donald E. Carroll City Commission Chambers at City Hall.

๐Ÿ“‹ A few highlights from tomorrow's agenda include:

๐Ÿ”น Mayor's Youth Advisory Commission: The Commission will welcome members of the Mayor's Youth Advisory Commission as they take their pledges.

๐Ÿ”น Economic Development: Commissioners will consider how to allocate the remaining Local Economic Development Act (LEDA) funds.

Residents are welcome to attend, and public comment is included on the agenda.

Fire hydrants aren't just sitting there waiting for an emergency. Regular inspection and testing help make sure they're ready when they're needed.

As part of Hydrant Flow & Glow, crews will inspect and test hydrants throughout Alamogordo to help identify issues such as leaks, damage, accessibility concerns and other maintenance or repair needs.

Identifying these issues through routine testing gives the City an opportunity to address them before a hydrant is needed during an emergency.

๐Ÿ’งโœจ It's one more way Hydrant Flow & Glow is about more than a fresh coat of paint โ€” it's about knowing how our hydrants are performing and keeping this important part of our water system maintained and ready for use.

Please be advised of a scheduled water outage for the installation of water valves at 3716 through 3746 Mosswood Avenue, south of N Scenic Drive on Friday, October 9, 2026.

The eastbound right lane of N Scenic Drive and immediate vicinity of Mosswood Avenue will be temporarily closed from Friday, October 9 through Saturday, October 10, 2026 for the duration of the valves installation.

Residents may experience lower than normal water pressure, water discoloration, or a temporary disruption in their water service. Please be assured that our crews will work diligently to complete this project in order to restore water service as soon as realistically possible. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
