A gift annuity with Wayfinder Family Services pays you fixed payments for as long as you live, and the amount never changes, no matter what the economy does. You also receive an income tax deduction this year and possible capital gains benefits (consult with your advisor). After a lifetime of payments, any remaining funds automatically go to support our mission.

Today is White Cane Safety Day, also known as White Cane Awareness Day. 🦯

Today we celebrate the right of blind people to travel freely and independently, a right protected by White Cane laws in all 50 states.

The white cane opens the way to school, work and community. See someone using one? Give them space, stop at crosswalks and ask before offering help. Want to meet someone who learned how to use a white cane at Wayfinder? Check out Candy’s story: https://www.wayfinderfamily.org/blog/candys-story

Every child deserves a classroom where they belong, where the environment bends to meet *them*, not the other way around.

At Wayfinder's Special Education School, students ages 5–22 with moderate-to-severe disabilities find learning, community, safety and belonging.

With small class sizes, credentialed teachers, on-site therapists, and a staff-to-student ratio of 1:2, every student gets the focused attention they deserve. Learn more about our Special Education School: www.wayfinderfamily.org/program/special-education-school.

Healing from trauma. Improving health and wellbeing. Finding loving homes for children who have been abused or neglected. Each year, Wayfinder strives to do more to improve lives.

Last year, 97% of older adults with vision loss improved their independent living skills.

If you have a donor-advised fund, today is a meaningful opportunity to put your charitable dollars to work. A gift to Wayfinder Family Services helps provide critical services, resources and support to children, youth, adults and families.

This DAF Day, consider recommending a grant to Wayfinder Family Services and make a lasting impact. Last year alone, we helped almost 26,000 individuals.
