The City of Alameda’s Social Service Human Relations Board is asking for public input from people 55 or older in its Age-Friendly . The survey is designed to collect data in order to understand the human services needs of people in that age range and inform the work of staff, elected officials, volunteers, and advocates in creating an environment where people of all ages can thrive. The Housing Authority of the City of Alameda has opened the wait list for (on the Doorway Housing Portal) and the deadline to apply is June 9th at 5pm. Via this Doorway listing there are one-bedroom, two-bedroom, three-bedroom , four -bedroom, and five-bedroom units available that will serve households earning up to 80% of the Area Median Income.

This past Sunday the Housing Authority of the City of Alameda partnered with Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter (FAAS) to host a event which was a wide effort to provide free and for cats and dogs. The Housing Authority of the City of Alameda has opened the wait list for (on the Doorway Housing Portal) and the deadline to apply is June 1st at 5pm. Via this Doorway listing there are studio apartments available that will serve senior households (age 62 or older) earning up to 40% of the Area Median Income.

This recently built housing offers twenty-two (400-square foot) studio apartments, which will feature individual bathrooms and kitchens, and are suitable for one to two-person households. Linnet Corner offers amenities that include an onsite laundry facility, a community room, patio with barbecue, unassigned onsite parking (and street parking), onsite bicycle parking, an elevator, pet friendly housing, rooftop patio, resident services, and an onsite Property Manager.

The Housing Authority of the City of Alameda is thrilled to partner with Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter (FAAS) to host a free Clinic on Sunday, May 17th from 9am to 3pm at 2000 Lakehurst Circle in . The clinic provides the opportunity for local dog and cat owners to get free . Please note that cats must arrive in carriers and dogs on a leash. There is limited availability, so please come early.
