Congratulations Akron Municipal Mental Health Court on celebrating 25 years!

Established as the FIRST Mental Health Court in Ohio under Judge Stormer and then led for the last 21 years by Judge Annalisa Williams.

The mental health court was formed because of the overwhelming numbers of mentally ill offenders being seen by the Akron municipal court. This program is a collaboration between the Summit County ADM Board, Community Support Services and Akron Municipal Court.

NAMI Summit County works tirelessly to educate our community about mental illness, reduce stigma, and support those who are struggling.

We are proud supporters of NAMI and the important work they do every day.

Today, we had the opportunity to attend their annual luncheon and were truly inspired by keynote speaker Kody Green, who shared his powerful journey living with schizophrenia.

Thank you, NAMI Summit County, for all you do to bring awareness, hope, and support to our community.
