Last week our cadets started off the semester strong with our first Army Fitness Test of the year. Good work everyone!

D&C LAB

On Friday we held our drill and ceremony lab. During this lab Cadets were able to learn more about proper drill and ceremony techniques, build confidence in their movements, and strengthen their attention to detail.

CANNON CREW

Yesterday, our Cannon Crew was out supporting the Akron Zips Football team for their first home game of the season. We’re Thrilled to have been part of the excitement as the Zips secured a big win over Robert Morris University

COMMISSIONING

On Friday we celebrated 2nd Lieutenant Durbin's commissioning into the United States Army as a Field Artillery Officer. During his ceremony he was sworn in, pinned and received his first salute. Congratulations 2LT Durbin!

WELCOME LAB

We officially kicked off a new semester with our welcome lab. Cadets were introduced to this semester's cadet leadership and cadre while also finding out what squads they will be a part of this semester. We are all looking forward to another semester of growth and leadership.

COMMISSIONING

Yesterday the 42nd OVB celebrated the commissioning of 5 new 2nd Lieutenants. Along with their graduation they were sworn in, pinned, and received their first salutes. Congratulations to these new Armor, Infantry, Cyber, and Aviation Officers!

Norwegian Foot March

The 42nd OVB held our 3rd Norwegian Foot March, with a total of 59 finishers within the allotted time. This is a huge increase from last semester where 15 people finished the 18.6 mile course. Another will be coming this fall so stay tuned and start training!
