📚 Join historian and writer Rose Vance‑Grom as she uncovers the origins of Akron’s vibrant jazz scene—from its rise in the 1930s to the lasting legacy felt across Northeast Ohio today. A fourth‑generation Akronite and lifelong jazz lover, Rose brings deep knowledge and personal passion to this rich history.

In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, all Akron‑Summit County Public Library locations will be closed on Monday, January 19.

We encourage our community to take time to reflect, learn, and engage in the spirit of Dr. King's legacy.

We’ll reopen with normal hours on Tuesday.
