Back in 2012, ASCPL dreamed up a new way to connect with the community… and Paws was born! Designed by our own talented graphic designer and cartoonist Donald Peoples and named by former Library Director David Jennings, this little lion has been bringing BIG smiles to Summit County ever since.

Join the Fairlawn-Bath Branch Library for a guided outdoor experience with Dr. Lara Roketenetz, Field Station Director at The University of Akron, and discover the natural world around you.

🪡Learn the basics of sewing with Rachel Chapman from Ohio State - 4-H Youth Development. You won’t want to miss this fun, hands-on introductory lesson to hand stitching for ages 9-18.

Sewing is a powerful skill that will let you repair things you love, save money, and allow you to express your imagination by creating something truly one of a kind! From repairing stuffed animals, to creating cosplays, to embellishing your favorite jeans. No prior experience needed, all materials will be provided, and participants will leave with a sewing craft they made.
