Join us as we travel through the Art with this unique piece of “Curated Choreography.” Featuring the majestic music of Modest Mussorgsky and art which was hand-picked from the Akron Art Museum’s collection, our ballet will be a unique exploration of visual art, music, and dance. This interactive event will have your budding ballerina up and pirouetting with our dancers from The Dance Institute at The University of Akron.

📽 Enjoy Ohio's contributions to the film industry with this special Ohio Goes to the Movies™ (OGTTM) screening of "Down By Law," directed by Ohio-born Jim Jarmusch. OGTTM, a Signature Event of America 250-Ohio, is a statewide celebration of movies showcasing Ohioans: actors, directors, writers, composers, locations, and topics, shown in cities and towns across the state in all 88 counties.

Join us before the screening for a reception including free food, drinks, and giveaways of Blu-ray's and newly commissioned "Down by Law" movie posters from artist Shane Lewis. The movie starts at 2 pm with an introduction from Mike Wendt of the Greater Cleveland Film Commission.

Stay after the screening for a journey through Northeast Ohio movie history presented by the Western Reserve Historical Society.

Rock out to Steven R Trent and the Lovely Jean as they deliver a powerhouse blend of rockabilly, blues, and rock & roll. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Highland Square Branch Library.

Steven R. Trent has spent over 15 years tearing up stages across Ohio and the Midwest with his high‑energy mix of Rockabilly, Blues, Country Western, and vintage Rock & Roll. He plays guitar, sings, and beats on homemade foot drums at the same time, delivering originals and reimagined juke joint favorites. With the Lovely Jean on percussion, the duo has rocked everything from house parties to festivals and everywhere in between.
