NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS
The Springfield Township Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 5:30 pm, in Springfield Township Hall, 2459 Canfield Road, Akron, Ohio, 44312 to hear the following request:
(BZA 07-2026/Permit #102530) Ronald Buffa, owner of residence at 2431 Spring Lake Road (parcel #5108699) requests two variances to allow an existing shed to remain at 8 feet from the rear property line where Springfield Township Zoning Resolution Section 7.01(G)(5) requires the setback to be 10 feet and to allow three accessory structures where Section 7.01(C)(1) limits accessory structures to two.
(BZA 08-2026/Permit #102482) Timothy Prater, owner of Prater’s Collision at 933 Canton Road (parcel #5105261) requests a conditional use review to allow a vehicle body shop as required by Springfield Township Zoning Resolution Section 5.03(A)(2) and 5.03(B).
(BZA 09-2026/PERMIT #102552) Polly Petty, 923 Abington Road, requests a variance to allow a shed to be located in the frontage area on Delaware Avenue as defined under Springfield Township Zoning Resolution Section 5.05(A)(2)(g) and where Section 7.01(G)(5) and Table 7.01(A) requires accessory structures to be located in a side or rear yard.
(BZA 10-2026/PERMIT #102553) Polly Petty, 923 Abington Road, requests a variance to allow a pool to be located in the frontage area on Delaware Avenue as defined under Springfield Township Zoning Resolution Section 5.05(A)(2)(g) and where Section 7.01(G)(5) and Table 7.01(A) requires accessory structures to be located in a side or rear yard.
