Who's that croaking at the water's edge? This time of year, you're likely hearing gray tree frogs, green frogs or bullfrogs.

Generally speaking, the smaller the frog, the earlier it calls. Smaller things warm up quickly, so spring peepers start up as early as February. Whereas larger frogs, like the American bullfrog, typically don't start calling until mid-May.

Step outside and lend an ear to your amphibious neighbors. They sure have lots to say!

Property taxes support essential local services across Ohio. According to the Ohio Office of Budget & Management, eliminating them without a replacement plan could lead to dramatic tax increases elsewhere and devastating cuts to services communities rely on every day β€” including parks, police, fire departments, schools, libraries and senior centers. Local funding keeps communities strong.

Understanding how services are funded helps keep our community informed. Learn more: ProtectPublicServices.org
