6/18 UPDATE: OWNER FOUND!
The Animal Control Officer picked up a dog that was running around Speedee Mart

—> a sweet & friendly border collie, heeler mix brown/tan & ash gray.

Unfortunately since the dog didn’t have a collar or owner identification, the officer had to impound it.

If this is your dog or know who the owner is please call the city office during business hours to make arrangements.

🚛 Trash Collection Schedule Change Notice 🚛

Due to the City of Ainsworth offices being closed on Friday, June 19th, in observance of Juneteenth, the FRIDAY trash route will be collected on THURSDAY, JUNE 18TH.

--> Residents who are normally scheduled for Friday pickup are asked to have their trash containers placed at the curb by 7:30 am Thursday morning to ensure collection.

** UPDATE 6/12: OWNER FOUND! **
The Animal Control Officer picked up two friendly dogs along 3rd Street on the north side of the Nazarene Church after they were giving unwanted attention to a young boy who was walking his dog.

The dogs are described as:
• A Husky wearing a green collar
• A black mixed-breed dog with a white chest wearing a black collar

Animal Control checked with residents in the neighborhood but was unable to locate the owner. Unfortunately, there was no identifying information on either collar, so both dogs have been impounded for their safety.

If these dogs belong to you or someone you know, please contact the City Office at 402-387-2494 to claim them.
