🐾 FOUND DOGS 🐾
10/5 UPDATE: OWNER FOUND!
These two were picked up along 3rd Street. Both dogs are wearing collars; however, neither has owner identification, so the Animal Control Officer has had to impound them.
If these dogs belong to you or you know who they belong to, please contact the City Office tomorrow during regular business hours at 402-387-2494 to make arrangements for their release.

🌳⚡TREE TRIMMING NOTICE ⚡🌳

Residents may notice Nebraska Public Power District contractors in the area trimming trees & vegetation around power lines.

➡ NPPD trims each electric circuit approximately once every three (3) years to maintain proper clearance & help provide safe, reliable electric services. As part of this work, vegetation within a 24-foot area-- 12 feet on each side of the power pole -- may be trimmed or removed.
➡ NPPD contractors follow ANSI A300 tree-pruning standards, which promote natural trimming techniques designed to reduce damage to trees & encourage healthier regrowth away from power lines.

🚧 Please be aware of crews working throughout the area, & thank you for your cooperation while this routine maintenance is completed.

North Central RC&D will be hosting a FREE paper shredding event in Ainsworth on Monday, September 28th, from 8:45–9:30 AM.

🐾 REPEAT OFFENDER IMPOUNDED 🐾

A male Husky was picked up today by the Animal Control Officer and is currently impounded. The dog has a history of running at large.

The Animal Control Officer attempted to make contact with the owner twice today and left voicemails.

If this is your dog, please contact the City Office at 402-387-2494 to make arrangements before the end of the business day today at 4:30 PM. Otherwise, the dog will have to remain impounded over the weekend until the City Office reopens at 9:00 AM Monday morning.

The Animal Control Officer picked up a brindle, intact male Boxer mix with brown collar on N. Ash Street.
There have been previous complaints regarding this dog trespassing and approaching other residents’ pets.
Due to the lack of ownership information, the dog has been impounded.
If this is your dog, please contact the City of Ainsworth at 402-387-2494 to claim him.
