September 6th through September 12th

September 6th
A traffic stop was made on Highway 20; during the traffic stop the driver was placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol and also cited for driving 10 over the posted speed limit, refusal of a pretest and refusal of the datamaster.
Brown County Sheriff’s office received a report of a person lying next to the roadway possibly unconscious. Brown County Deputy spoke with the reported person and asked him to move off the roadway. The person involved said that they were just looking at the stars.
Brown County Ambulance responded to a patient in Ainsworth and transported the patient to the Brown County Hospital.
A traffic stop was made North on Highway 7; the driver received a citation for driving 19 Mph over the posted speed limit.
Brown County Ambulance was on standby at the Brown County Fair’s rodeo.
A traffic stop was made on Highway 20; the driver received a citation for driving 15 Mph over the posted speed limit.
Brown County Deputy was on foot patrol at the Brown County Fair.
A traffic stop was made on Highway 20; the driver received a warning for not having their lights all the way on after dark.
A traffic stop was made on Highway 20; the driver received a repair order for improper and defective vehicle lighting.
Brown County Deputy received a report of an abandoned vehicle in rural Brown County.
A traffic stop was made on Highway 20; the driver received a warning for speeding.
September 7th
Brown County Ambulance was on standby at the Brown County Fair’s rodeo.
Fire Departments in Brown County partook in the Johnstown Parade.
September 8th
Brown County Deputy provided a civil standby at a residence in Ainsworth.
Brown County Sheriff Office received a report of a vehicle that was stuck in a ditch. Brown County Sheriff and Deputy responded; the vehicle was pulled out of the ditch by other employees.
Brown County Deputy investigated a report of luggage that was previously on fire near the airport ponds.
Brown County Deputy provided a motorist assist after they had run out of fuel South of Ainsworth.
A traffic stop was made south on Highway 7; the driver received a citation for driving 16 Mph over the posted speed limit.
September 9th
Brown County Ambulance assisted the Brown County Hospital with a transfer of two patients.
Brown County Ambulance responded to a patient in rural Brown County and transported the patient to the Brown County Hospital.
September 10th
Brown County Sheriff responded to a mental health issue near Ainsworth.
Brown County Sheriff and Deputy came across a broken-down vehicle next to the roadway near the Long Pine State Park. It was discovered that the license plates on the vehicle were more than 10 years old and did not belong to the vehicle that it was currently on. The vehicle was towed due to these reasons.
September 11th
Brown County Deputy helped the City of Ainsworth with traffic control for the Homecoming parade in Ainsworth.
Brown County Ambulance was on standby at the East City Park for the Homecoming football game.
Brown County Deputies were requested to administer breath tests before the homecoming dance in Ainsworth.
A traffic stop was made on Highway 20; the driver received a repair order for improper and defective vehicle lighting.
Brown County Deputy was requested to do a welfare check of an elderly male in Ainsworth. The elderly male was found to be ok.
A traffic stop was made on Highway 20; the driver received a citation for driving 15 Mph over the posted speed limit.
September 12th
Brown County Deputy along with a Keya Paha County deputy provided traffic control for cattle crossing near the Brown County and Keya Paha County line.
A traffic stop was made north on Highway 7; the driver received a citation for driving 31 Mph over the posted speed limit.
A traffic stop was made in Ainsworth; the driver received a citation for driving 15 Mph over the posted speed limit.
Brown County Deputy investigated reports of harassment in Ainsworth.

August 30th
A traffic stop was in Ainsworth; the driver received a repair order for improper and defective vehicle lighting.
Brown County Deputy responded to a disturbance in Ainsworth. The suspected person was arrested for terroristic threats, protection order violation, and disturbing the peace.

August 31st
A traffic stop was made on Highway 20; the driver received a citation for driving 15 Mph over the posted speed limit.
Brown County Deputy removed a dead deer out of the middle of the road on Highway 20.
Brown County Ambulance responded to a patient in Ainsworth and transported the patient to the Brown County Hospital.

September 1st
Brown County Sheriff office investigated a report of possible trespassing and a family pet that had been killed on their property. This is an ongoing investigation.
Brown County Ambulance responded to a patient in Ainsworth and transported the patient to the Brown County Hospital.
Brown County Sheriff Office received a report of a borrowed trailer that had not been returned to the owner. Later in the day trailer was returned to the owner.
A traffic stop was made on Highway 20; the driver received a written warning for speeding and a repair order for an expired registration.
Brown County Deputy investigated a two-vehicle accident on Main St. in Ainsworth. Brown County Ambulance assisted by checking the drivers of the vehicle.
Brown County Deputy helped a gas station in Ainsworth by notifying a person that they had forgotten to pay for their gas.

September 2nd
Brown County Sheriff provided court security for county courts in Ainsworth.

September 3rd
Brown County Sheriff Office received a report that the night before in western rural Brown County that a vehicle was driving on Highway 20 shooting a firearm out of the windows. This is an ongoing investigation.
A traffic stop was made on Highway 7; the driver received a citation for driving 16 Mph over the posted speed limit.
Brown County Deputy responded to the East City Park in Ainsworth for a mental health issue. The person was later placed into Emergency Protective Custody.

September 4th
Brown County Deputy spoke to a person in the East City Park in Ainsworth after a report of suspicious behavior.
A traffic stop was made on Highway 20; the driver received a citation for driving 18 Mph over the posted speed limit.
A traffic stop was made in Ainsworth; the driver received a repair order for improper and defective vehicle lighting.
Brown County Deputy received a request for a welfare check on a person in Ainsworth. After speaking with the person, Brown County Ambulance responded to check the well-being of the reported person.

September 5th
A Brown County inmate was transferred out of Brown County Jail and being housed in another jail after the inmate vandalized jail property. The inmate will receive additional charges for criminal mischief of the damaged Brown County jail property.
A traffic stop was made on Highway 20; the driver received a citation for driving 19 Mph over the posted speed limit.
Brown County Ambulance was on standby at the Brown County Fair’s rodeo.

August 23rd
A written warning was given to driver for driving left of center on Highway 20.
Brown County Deputies provided traffic control for cattle crossing Highway 20.
Ainsworth Fire Department responded to a residence in Ainsworth to check a carbon dioxide detector.
Brown County deputy investigated a report of possible domestic assault.
Brown County deputies responded to a verbal altercation between household members in rural Brown County.
A written warning was given to a driver speeding on Highway 20.

August 24th
Brown County Deputy investigated a possible trespassing and threatening behavior in rural Brown County.
Brown County Sheriff and deputy helped with a tornado drill at Ainsworth Community Schools.
Brown County Deputies investigated a report of a unlicensed driver driving on county roads.
Raven fired department responded to a fire in rural south Brown County.

August 25th
Brown County Sheriff contacted a driver of vehicle that is out on bond. The driver was tested for alcohol and drugs. The test resulted in the driver violating his bond restriction set fourth by the Brown County courts.
Brown County Sheriff investigated a report of suspicious activity in Long Pine. It was found out that the reported people were in the area working.
Brown County Ambulance responded to a patient in Ainsworth and the patient was transported to the Brown County Hospital.
Brown County Ambulance assisted the Brown County Hospital with transport of a patient.
Brown County Deputy investigated a hit and run accident in the Brown County Courthouse parking lot. The deputy was able to find the vehicle and speak with the driver that had left the scene of the accident.
Brown County deputy investigated a report of suspicious behavior around children in Ainsworth. All parties involved were spoken to including the parents of the children.

August 26th
Brown County Ambulance responded to a patient in Long Pine and transported the patient to the Brown County Hospital.

August 27th
Brown County deputy assisted another law enforcement agency with finding a person for a welfare check. The deputy was able to verify that the reported person was found to be ok.
Brown County Sheriff investigated a report of vandalism to a vehicle in Ainsworth.
A driver received a citation for driving 13 Mph over the posted speed limit north on Highway 7.
Brown County Sheriff removed debris from a pallet out of the middle of the roadway on Highway 20.
A driver received a written warning for driving on the shoulder of highway 20.
Brown County Sheriff Office received a report of people using the locker room showers at the conference center in Ainsworth during Ainsworth schools’ volleyball practice was going on. Brown County Deputy spoke with the city office about this matter.
Brown County Deputy investigated a report of gun shots being heard in the vicinity of Long Pine.

August 28th
Brown County Ambulance responded to a patient in Ainsworth and transported the patient to the Brown County Hospital.
Brown County Deputy received a report of a bad check that had been written for purchase at a local business.
A driver received a citation for driving 24 Mph over the posted speed limit north on Highway 7.
A driver received a repair order for improper and defective vehicle lighting.
A driver received a written warning for not using their turn signal in Ainsworth.

August 29th
A person in Ainsworth received a citation for disturbing the peace after receiving complaints about the person in early morning’s walking up and down the road yelling.
Brown County Deputy was asked to do a welfare check after a medical alert bracelet went off in Ainsworth. During the wellness check the Brown County Ambulance was called and the person was then transported to the Brown County Hospital.
Long Pine fire department and Ainsworth Fire department were dispatched after a report of smoke was reported near Long Pine.
A verbal warning was given to a driver after driving left of center on Highway 20.
A traffic stop was made on Highway 20; both the driver and the passenger of the vehicle received citations for minor in possession of alcohol and possession of an open alcohol container. The driver of the vehicle also received a repair order for improper and defective vehicle lighting.
Brown County Deputies wrote two repair orders for improper defective vehicle lighting and written warnings for speeding, driving on the shoulder of the highway and driving left of center while patrolling Brown County.

Brown County Ambulance responded to a patient in Ainsworth; no transport needed.
A traffic stop was made on Highway 20; the driver received a citation for driving 17 Mph over the posted speed limit.

August 17th
Brown County Deputy removed a dead deer from the roadway on Highway 20.
Brown County Deputy was asked to do a welfare check of a camper in the Long Pine State Park. The camper was found to be ok.
Brown County Deputy investigated a report of a person trespassing on private property. This is an ongoing investigation.

August 18th

August 19th
Brown County Ambulance assisted the Brown County Hospital with transport of a patient.
Brown County Sheriff provided court security for county courts in Ainsworth.
Brown County Deputies provided traffic control for a fire drill at Ainsworth Community Schools.
Brown County Deputy was asked to do a welfare check of a family in Ainsworth. Everyone was found to be ok.

August 20th
Brown County Ambulance responded to a patient in Long Pine; the patient was later transported to the Brown County Hospital.
Brown County Ambulance assisted the Brown County Hospital with transport of a patient.

August 21st
Brown County Deputy investigated a reported suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of a business in Ainsworth. The Deputy spoke to the driver of the vehicle and found out that they were early to deliver equipment to the business.
Brown County Deputies are investigating a report of possible stalking in Ainsworth.
A traffic stop was made on highway 20; the driver received a written warning for speeding.

August 22nd
Brown County Deputy investigated a car vs deer accident north on Highway 7.
Two repair orders were given for improper defective vehicle lighting on Highway 20.
