In August a few employees from the Aiken Electric Cooperative, INC’s Strategic Service Team partnered with our Project V.I.S.I.O.N.! The group participated in Project V.I.S.I.O.N.’s “Women In Action”. They worked hard, cut the lumber, assembled the materials and they built a Blessing Box!

This group was a privilege to work with! Each member showed hard work, determination, and willingness to help those in their community! Each volunteer even showed they know how to use a circular saw, drill, and nail gun!

A special thank you to Daniele Ligons, employee at Aiken Electric Cooperative, for organizing this amazing and inspiring group of women for this build!

The new Blessing Box is located at HopeHealth (150 University Parkway, Aiken, SC 29801). Help us keep this Blessing Box stocked and spread the word for those who could benefit from it!

Happy International Literacy Day!

United Way of Aiken County supports literacy for the very youngest members of our community through the Dolly Parton's Imagination Library and our Success By 6® Program. We want kids to know that reading can be fun, and that it opens so many opportunities in life! In honor of International Literacy Day, we hope you read a book today. 🙂📚

Have you put Shop & Play for United Way on your calendar yet?

We hope you can join United Way of Aiken County and numerous Aiken County businesses for Shop & Play for United Way. On September 25th, shop, eat, dance, sing, bid on silent and live auction items all for a good cause!

Shop at participating locations during their normal business hours and a portion of your purchase will be donated to United Way of Aiken County. From 5-8pm, join us in the Alley for music, fun, dancing, raffles, and silent and live auctions all supporting United Way of Aiken County's mission to improve lives in our community.

Tomorrow is the day!! Family Fun Day is almost here. Come by and enjoy games, face-painting, food, and the opportunity to learn about some of United Way of Aiken County's wonderful partner agencies and all they offer to our community.

We will be at the Price Ave. Picnic Shelter at Odell Weeks from 11am - 2pm on Sept. 5th!

We had a blast with Game Day at United Way! Our partner agencies put on a great agency fair for event attendees to learn more about just how important the dollars raised through the United Way of Aiken County Campaign are. We had a fantastic cast of UW commentators with us for the program. Thank you to our volunteer leadership for their willingness to wholeheartedly support the annual campaign effort!

We want to say a special thank you to our sponsors: Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, Aiken Regional Medical Centers, Aiken Electric Cooperative, and the Family Y - Aiken. And also to Fearless Church, Byron Bush, each of our county's High School's for letting us display your football helmets, and East Aiken School of the Arts for all they did to make today's event not only possible, but SO fun!! Thank you so much to everyone who came out to celebrate the 2026 Campaign Kickoff with us!

We are looking forward to a great campaign and meeting our goal of $2,001,658 to provide funding for over 40 Critical Need Programs providing assistance to people in our community everyday! United We Win!!
