The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office is proud to introduce Special Needs Occupant Decals. A new initiative within our Community Policing Division. These decals are designed to help increase awareness and promote safety for both children and adults with Autism in our community.

This initiative will help encourage a greater understanding and awareness during interactions or emergencies.

Decals will be available to:
• Parents of someone with Autism

• Caretakers of someone with Autism

Please note:
• Decals are limited to 2 per family

Last week, we held the re-opening of our range and training facility following a number of significant upgrades and improvements!

These upgrades will provide our deputies with an improved training environment and help us maintain the highest level of preparedness, safety, and professionalism.

A few of the upgrades include newly planted grass on our range, storage buildings, sniper towers, moving targets, and restrooms. The upgraded range will also create opportunities for other local law enforcement agencies to utilize the facility for training. By making this resource available to other law enforcement partners, we can strengthen partnerships, encourage collaboration, and help support effective training throughout our public safety community.

Almost all the work was done in house by several members of our agency, and we are proud of the work that went into improving this facility. We look forward to putting it back in use for our deputies and our law enforcement partners.
