Meet the newest member of the AMR Hawaiʻi ʻohana! 🐾❤️
Stormie is a Mini Australian Labradoodle and AMR Hawaiʻi’s newest therapy dog in training, primarily serving our Honolulu County team.
Originally nicknamed “Lightning” for her bolt-shaped tail, Stormie received her official name as a tribute to the Kona Low storms that impacted our islands. Now, she’s ready to emBARK on an important new mission alongside AMR Hawaiʻi’s Peer Support Team.
As she continues her training, Stormie will serve as a valuable resource for our team, providing comfort, connection and a little extra support during those long shifts. She’s already making PAWsitive impacts everywhere she goes, and we’re so excited to have her as part of the AMR Hawaiʻi family!

Today is World Hepatitis Day, a reminder of the importance of awareness, prevention and early detection.
Hepatitis can affect people of all ages, and many may not know they are living with it. This day encourages communities to learn the facts, reduce stigma and talk with a healthcare provider about testing, vaccination and prevention.

On National PTSD Awareness Day, AMR Hawaiʻi recognizes the importance of mental health support, awareness and compassion for those affected by post-traumatic stress disorder.
First responders, military service members, survivors of trauma and many others may carry experiences that are not always visible. Today is a reminder to listen, support one another and help reduce the stigma around seeking care.
You are not alone. Help and support are available.

On June 5, AMR Hawaiʻi in collaboration with the Hawaii chapter of the American Heart Association, had the opportunity to visit Kawaiahaʻo Plaza to provide hands-only CPR training for Kamehameha Schools’ administrative staff.
Hands-only CPR is a simple, lifesaving skill that can make a critical difference in the moments before emergency medical services arrive.
Mahalo to Kamehameha Schools’ administrative team for taking the time to learn, practice and strengthen their emergency preparedness. AMR Hawaiʻi is proud to support community education efforts that help create safer workplaces, schools and gathering spaces across our islands.

AMR Hawaiʻi has been a proud year-round partner of Special Olympics Hawaii since 2005.
As the only EMS provider serving the entire state, from the canyons of Waimea, Kauaʻi to the rainbows of Hilo, Hawaiʻi, we are honored to support Special Olympics Hawaiʻi athletes, volunteers and families through donated medical coverage, supplies and on-site care during county competitions and the Hawaiʻi State Games.
These photos capture just a few moments from the 2026 USA Games, where Team Hawaiʻi is proudly representing the 808 State on a national stage. This year, Hawaiʻi athletes are competing in basketball, track and field and bowling, showing the heart, determination and spirit that make Special Olympics so inspiring.
We are truly one ʻohana with Special Olympics Hawaiʻi. Mahalo to the athletes, coaches, volunteers and families who continue to inspire our community.
