During the school year, students benefit from consistent routines, peer connection, and structured learning. Over the summer, those supports often shift and for students who navigate anxiety, emotional struggles, or transition challenges, that disruption can make things harder.
The good news: Cartwheel, our District's virtual mental health partner, is available all summer long to provide support, including:
🧠 Licensed therapists and psychiatric providers with no waitlists
💻 Virtual appointments with afternoon, evening, and weekend availability
👨‍👩‍👧 Parent guidance sessions with practical support for parents and caregivers for everyday challenges
🗣️ Care available in English, Spanish, and other languages
✅ Free for families with Medicaid
✅in-network with most insurance

Summer is a great time to get connected to care and help students be ready for fall. Learn more and get started: cartwheelcare.org/families

The Agawam Public Library's art exhibit during the month of May showcased the collaborative project between 4th Graders at Clark Elementary School and ‘Illustration and Cartooning’ and 'Drawing and Painting' students at the High School. 4th graders were prompted to imagine a creature of their own design, so that the High School students could have inspiration to then re-create the creature in their own style. Students at both grade levels discussed the benefits of this collaboration for each age group. What do the 4th graders bring to the project? -Youthful IMAGINATION and the ability to create without overthinking how it will be perceived. What do High School students bring to the project? - Design experience and mastery of materials. The result? - Two versions of the 4th grader's design, and an experience that has brought new skills and ways of thinking to both age groups. The 4th graders are given the final presentation board at the closing ceremony.

As the school year comes to a close, our seniors are preparing to leave AHS and begin their next exciting chapter. This past week, we had the pleasure of celebrating their accomplishments during Senior Sunset and the Senior Pathways Appreciation Breakfast.

We want to congratulate all of our graduates and wish them continued success in their future endeavors. Your hard work, dedication, and perseverance have brought you to this milestone, and we are excited to see all that you will achieve.

A special thank you to our Class Officers (Anthony, Liam, Jordan and Omar)for your dedication, leadership, and commitment to your classmates. Your efforts have helped make the past four years memorable, and it has been a privilege to watch you grow and lead.

Class advisors Ms. Sheehan and Mr. Russo are incredibly proud of each and every one of you. Thank you for an amazing four years, and best wishes to the Class of 2026—we know great things are ahead! 🎓✨
