Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are writing to provide a final update regarding the hoax phone call received this morning.

As of 11:00 a.m., thirty-six Wyoming school districts have confirmed receiving similar hoax calls today. At no time was there an active threat to our students or staff. Lincoln County School District #2 is grateful for the quick collaboration and response from our IT Department, building administrators, the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, and the Cokeville and Afton Police Departments. Their coordinated efforts ensured both student and staff safety while limiting disruptions to the learning environment. As a precaution, all campuses were visited by law enforcement today. We appreciate your patience and trust as we worked through this situation. Our schools will continue operating normally.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

This morning, January 28, our Cokeville and Star Valley Schools are working through an automated phone call reporting a possible bomb threat. After working closely with law enforcement, the call appears to be part of a hoax that has recently affected schools in other states.

Out of an abundance of caution, community members may notice an increased law enforcement presence.

All Schools are operating as normal, and we are in an ongoing communication with law enforcement. There is no active threat at this time.

We appreciate your patience and support as we continue to prioritize the safety of our schools and communities.

It’s time again for Lincoln County School District #2’s annual Early Childhood Census. The information gathered helps us plan for future programming needs, as well as to provide us with contact information for next year's incoming kindergarten students.
This census is for those families who have children who are 0-5 years old and not enrolled in kindergarten. We are requesting that the census be completed online. If you choose to not complete the census online, there will be a census worker in your area who will gather this information during January. This census only needs to be filled out once per school year.
