ADRIAN, Mich. - August 26, 2026 - Madison High School is proud to announce its selection as the top-ranked high school in the county, according to the official U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools data. The annual evaluation assesses public high schools across the country on state-required test performance, graduation rates, and college-readiness metrics. Madison High School achieved a strong graduation rate of 91% and excelled in academic participation, showcasing the dedication of students, faculty, and families within the Madison School District.
“A great high school educates all of its students from different social and economic backgrounds, exposing them to challenging coursework on the path to graduation. The highest-ranked U.S. public schools in U.S. News & World Report's 2026-2027 Best High Schools rankings are those whose students demonstrated outstanding outcomes above expectations in math, reading and science state assessments, earned qualifying scores on an array of college-level exams, and graduated in high proportions” (U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools, 2026).
Madison High School’s recognition goes beyond the county-level. Madison High School ranked in the top 7% of schools throughout the State of Michigan and in the top 10% of high schools nationally.
