Recently, the Lenawee Department on Aging took time away from our regular services to come together for staff training and professional development.

We understand that when our offices or services are temporarily unavailable, it can create challenges for those who depend on us. We never take your patience and understanding for granted.

Taking this time to learn, grow, and gather important information helps us strengthen our team and better serve our community. A special thank you to the Lenawee County Sheriff's Office and TLC Community CU for sharing their knowledge and helping us add valuable tools to our toolbox.

Most importantly, thank you to the older adults, families, and community members we serve. Your patience allowed us the opportunity to become better at what we doβ€”and ultimately, better serve you. πŸ’™

πŸ’œ Behind every person living with Alzheimer's is someone who loves them.

A spouse becoming a full-time caregiver.
A daughter managing appointments.
A son learning to navigate difficult conversations.
A grandchild finding new ways to connect.

At the Lenawee Department on Aging, we see these stories every day. We also see the strength, resilience, and love that families show in the face of Alzheimer's.

That's why we're proud to support the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's.

Whether you walk with the LDA team, create your own team, make a donation, or simply learn more, you can help bring hope to families in our community.

Emergencies don’t always come with a warning. A medical emergency, severe weather, a break-in, or even a convincing scam can quickly turn an ordinary day into one where knowing what to do matters.

TRIAD invites older adults and their families to Home Emergencies: Are You Prepared?, a free educational event on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Human Services Building.

The program will focus on practical information to help older adults and their families feel safer, stay informed, and know how to respond when the unexpected happens.
