From planning special events to sharing ideas for new activities, Advisory Board members play an important role in helping our Senior Centers remain welcoming, active, and connected places to gather.

Thank you to all of our Advisory Board members for sharing your time, talents, and passion for serving older adults throughout Lenawee County! ❤️

🌟Employee Spotlight: Meet AshLynn Brooks! 🌟

This month, we're shining the spotlight on AshLynn Brooks, Director of Daybreak Adult Day Services, who has been serving older adults and caregivers with the Lenawee Department on Aging for nearly 10 years.

💬 "What I love most about my job are the connections I build with our participants and caregivers. Hearing the stories and memories our participants share is truly incredible."

A little more about AshLynn:

🌷 Favorite Spring Activity: Traveling with her daughter as she plays softball
🍦 Favorite Ice Cream: Vanilla topped with cookie dough
⚽ Hobbies: Spending time with her kids at the park and cheering them on while playing basketball, soccer, softball, and baseball

Thank you, AshLynn, for your dedication, compassion, and the positive impact you make every day for the participants, caregivers, and families we serve. ❤️

🎉 Congratulations! You’re a winner! 🎉

If a text, email, letter, or phone call says you've won a prize but asks you to pay shipping, taxes, processing fees, or any other upfront cost, it's likely a scam.

Remember: A legitimate prize should never require you to send money to receive it.

Before you pay, stop and ask yourself:
✅ Did I enter this contest?
✅ Why do they need money from me?
✅ Have I verified who is contacting me?

When it comes to surprise winnings, a little skepticism can save a lot of money.
