Howell’s oldest all volunteer fire company is celebrating 99 years of service. We are looking for new members aged 14 and older.

We have made changes allowing our brother and sister firefighters to join. If you work or live in our response area, please reach out.

Also looking for support members that can assist with non-firematic activities.

All have access to our gym facilities, along with many other benefits.

We have already arranged to have the NJMVC Mobile Unit back at Police Headquarters on September 3rd from 10:00AM to 2:00PM! This is a by appointment only event. No walk-ins will be accepted.

Congratulations to probationary firefighter Dylan Maghan for graduating from the Toms River Fire Academy with his Firefighter Level 1 and 2. Dylan completed over 320 hours of training in just 8 weeks! Assistant Chief Mike Hubert handed Dylan his certificates on stage, as Dylan’s family and members from Adelphia cheered him on.

On National Dog Day, take a moment to make sure your pets are part of your emergency plan.

🐾 Who will help them if there is a house fire?
🐾 Do you have a pet go bag ready?
🐾 Are their food, medications, leash, carrier, and records easy to grab?

Our dogs are like family, so plan for them too. A few minutes of preparation today can help keep them safe in an emergency.

We had a special visitor last night who reminded us of the impact we make as volunteer first responders!

Dawson Palmarini was in a serious motorcycle accident in 2019 in Toms River. He was found to be unresponsive and was resuscitated by a team of police, fire, and EMS, and flown via a medical helicopter to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. His accident left him with a traumatic brain injury and in a four-month coma, and he has recovered to full strength.

Dawson and his dad have been visiting all New Jersey first responders to thank them for what they do each day, and last night he stopped by Adelphia! We are planning a way to honor him in one of our upcoming meetings.
