A deceased person located last night was found to be missing person, HEINZ WOLF. The Coroner’s Division is conducting the death investigation.

DATE: Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at about 5:56 p.m.
INCIDENT: At-Risk Missing Person
LOCATION: 20000 block of Hwy 18, Apple Valley
MISSING PERSON: Heinz Dieter Wolf, 90 years old
DESCRIPTION: 5’4” tall, 164 lbs., gray/bald hair, blue eyes. Last seen wearing gray pants, multi colored sweater, tan shoes.
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, August 12, 2026, Heinz was reported missing by a family member. Heinz was last seen at his residence on August 9, 2026. Heinz suffers from cognitive impairment. Heinz’ 1990 Toyota pickup was located unoccupied in the area of Juniper Flats road and Valley View road in Apple Valley. An extensive area check has been conducted with the assistance of Sheriff’s Aviation and Sheriff’s K9 dog but Heinz has not been located.

Today, we joined our Public Affairs team at Bradach Elementary for an important presentation on online safety! 💻 🔒

Deputy Jones and Crime Prevention Coordinator Valencia provided an informative presentation on ways students can stay safe and make smart choices while online.

Deputies Lara and McCobb also spent time with the students, sharing more about our station and answering their great questions. 👮‍♂️ 👮‍♂️
