Thank you to for your partnership and to our for making this project a reality!
Bringing native plants into the home landscape is not only easy and beautiful, it is essential for area wildlife, and especially vital to increasing our native pollinator population. Native plants help with soil health, erosion control, and water conservation and more. The Pocket Prairie Program aims to introduce native planting in urban areas while educating on the importance (and ease) of growing native plants. Recipients of the 3 year program will receive education, mentoring, materials and more, to ensure your pocket prairies get a good start and thrive for years to come.
Local grant funding has made this program possible and greatly reduces the total costs for participants to $150. Applications will be accepted through July 1st and awarded participants will be notified mid July.
