Addison’s next Village-wide branch pickup is on TUESDAY, September 8.

Please place your branches curbside (not in the street) by Sunday, September 6, and remember:
• Stack branches in one direction with thicker ends facing the street
• No root balls, yard waste, or contractor cuttings
• No cross-stacking or oversized limbs

Addison Village Offices will be CLOSED on Monday, September 7 in observance of Labor Day. Regular hours will resume on Tuesday, September 8.

Mayor Tom Hundley recently met with Assistant Majority Leader and State Senator Linda Holmes at her office. Mayor Hundley represents the DuPage Mayor and Managers Conference, as the Vice President. Together, they discussed important ideas on the BUILD Act, FOIA, and the LGDF, along with other key initiatives. Meetings like these are essential in strengthening local leadership and working towards positive change for our communities.

The Village is hiring! The Village of Addison is accepting applications for the Part-Time Payroll/Accounting Clerk position.
This position performs routine payroll accounting functions for the Village and assists with a variety of financial and administrative processes, including General Ledger maintenance, audit preparation, month-end and year-end journal entries, budget preparation, and other special projects. Wage Range: $45.08 - $62.38 per hour.
Passing a skills-based test is required to be an eligible candidate for this position. The skills-based test will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at 9:00 AM at

Applications can be obtained by downloading the application form from the Village’s website. All completed applications must be submitted no later than 5:00 PM on Friday, October 2, 2026. Applications submitted after the deadline will NOT be accepted. Only one (1) application per person, per testing cycle is accepted.

ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE: The community is invited to the annual Addison-Medinah Shriners parade on Sunday, August 30th. The parade steps off from Addison Trail High School at 3pm and travels east to Kennedy Drive, so be sure to line the streets!
Please keep in mind that the parade will require the following temporary road closures:
Starting at 2 pm, Lombard Road from Diversey Avenue to Stone Avenue, as well as Belmont Pl. from Elizabeth St. to Lombard Rd.
At 2:30 pm, Army Trail Boulevard, east from Route 53 to Kennedy Dr., including all intersections along the route, as well as J.F. Kennedy Drive north to Lake Street. See the map below for the parade route and road closures.

Roads are not expected to be re-opened until 5 pm. Drivers, please plan to use alternate routes.

Mayor Tom Hundley, Vice President of the DuPage Mayors and Managers Conference (DMMC), had a great time meeting with Senator Suzy Glowiak Hilton (IL-38) and fellow DMMC members today! They shared ideas on important topics like the BUILD Act, FOIA, and the Local Government Distributive Fund. It’s conversations like these that help move DuPage forward together.

Mill Rd is currently shut down between Eggerding Drive and I-290 due to a traffic crash that resulted in downed power lines.

Please avoid the area and use an alternate route while emergency crews work to clear the crash and make the area safe. We will provide updates when the roadway reopens. ML204
