Overnight Parking Permission Granted

Due to the Labor Day holiday, blanket overnight parking permission on Village streets has been granted beginning tonight, September 4, through 2:00 AM on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

Residents do NOT need to call in or use the online portal to request overnight street parking permission during this time.

Please note: All other parking restrictions remain in effect.

This Labor Day, celebrate safely.

As the holiday weekend begins, the Addison Police Department reminds motorists: Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over.

If you’re drinking or using anything that can impair you, don’t drive. Make a plan – designate a sober driver, use a rideshare, or stay where you are.

And remember: Buckle up. Every seat. Every trip.

In observance of Labor Day, Village offices and the Addison Police Department Records Section will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026.

Village offices will reopen on Tuesday, September 8, at 8:00 AM. The Police Records section will reopen on Tuesday, September 8, at 7:00 AM.

The next branch pickup is scheduled for Tuesday, September 8, 2026*. Residents should have all branches placed at the curb by Monday evening, September 7.

Branch pickup can include anything from a single broken branch to the pickup and removal of an entire tree, cut up and stacked as specified under the program's requirements.

Pickup is delayed one day due to the Labor Day holiday.

FOUND DOG

We are trying to reunite this sweet dog with her family. She is a small Terrier/Pitbull mix with a tan coat and was found wearing a pink harness. She does not have a microchip. She was found this afternoon in the 200 block of N. Fullerton Avenue.

As we continue our “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over,” “Drive High. Get a DUI,” and “Click It or Ticket” enforcement campaign through September 8 at 6 a.m., we’re reminding everyone that even small amounts of alcohol can affect the skills you need to drive safely.

Alcohol can impact your vision, coordination, concentration, reaction time, and ability to make good decisions behind the wheel.

If you’re planning to drink this Labor Day weekend, plan your ride before you go. Choose a sober driver, call a rideshare, or make arrangements to stay where you are.
