Adamsburg VFD P.O. 92 Adamsburg PA 15611 We service an area of 12.5 square miles and protect a population of approximately 7,200 people. A.C.V.F.D. The A.C.V.F.D.

Adamsburg and Community Volunteer Fire Department is located in Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County and is approximately 30 miles east of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Adamsburg & Community Volunteer Fire Department was established in 1951 and provides fire, rescue, and first responder emergency medical services to the citizens of Hempfield Township, Adamsburg Borough, and Arona Borough. The Adamsburg & Community Volunteer Fire Departmentis one of twelve fire companies in Hempfield Township. is currently equipped with 1 Quint, 1 Engine, 1 Certified Advanced Rescue and 1 Trail Gator equipped for wild land firefighting and off-road remote rescues. currently operates the FIRST Department of Health Certified Advanced Rescue in Westmoreland County. Adamsburg and Community Volunteer Fire Department respond to approximately 400 emergencies annually. These calls range from Fire Emergencies, Rescue Calls, Emergency Medical Services Assists, and Public Service Details.

The dumpster being provided by Hempfield Township for storm related waste has not yet arrived. Once the dumpster does arrive, it will be placed in the large lot across from the fire station.

Please do not leave garbage or debris in our lot in the mean time, or next to the dumpster when it is full.

Last evening the members of the Adamsburg Volunteer Fire Department gathered to celebrate 75 years of dedicated service to our community! It was a great opportunity to recognize our department’s history, the countless volunteers who have served over the years, and the commitment to protecting our community.

A special thank you to Senator Kim Ward, State Representative Eric Nelson, and Hempfield Township Supervisors Bill Bretz and Doug Weimer for recognizing this milestone and presenting proclamations in honor of Adamsburg VFD’s 75th anniversary.

During our celebration, we also recognized Don Thoma for his 50th year of service with our department.
