The Chickasaw Nation We are a federally recognized First American tribe of nearly 84,000 citizens. Chris Anoatubby is the current Governor of the Chickasaw Nation.

The Chickasaw Nation has tribal government headquarters located in Ada, Oklahoma and tribal jurisdiction in all, or parts, of 13 counties in south-central Oklahoma. The Chickasaw Nation provides a multitude of programs and services for its citizens. The programs and services include Children, Youth, Community, Culture, Education, Elders, Employment, Enterprises/Commerce, Family, Government, Health

The citizenship application establishes citizenship in the Chickasaw Nation and is open to Chickasaws who are direct descendants of enrollees on the Dawes Commission Rolls. The applicant must first establish the CDIB (Certified Degree of Indian Blood) in order to apply for citizenship. Once the applicants have submitted the application, they will receive the photo I.D. citizenship card and certificate, welcoming them to the Chickasaw Nation. Enroll your child at one of our new Chickasaw Nation Child Development Centers!

The Chickasaw Nation is expanding childcare services with new child development centers opening in Purcell, Tishomingo and Ada. Child development centers provide a positive, nurturing environment led by highly trained teachers and staff focused on overall development. Children must be 6 weeks to 4 years of age to enroll. Admission depends on center capacity. Enrollment is open now for eligible children. Childcare assistance is available to qualified applicants.

-The Chickasaw Nation Car Seat Safety Program provides free inspections of child passenger seats and parent education regarding proper fit of car seats, laws, regulations and vehicle safety. During car seat checks, a certified passenger safety technician ensures the child safety seat is properly installed in the vehicle, the seat correctly fits the child and the seat is in good condition.

The Chickasaw Nation is dedicated to offering programs and services to support strong mental health. In recognition of Su***de Prevention Month, we encourage everyone to explore the many resources we offer to enhance mental wellness and resilience.

We offer a variety of services to assist families and people of all ages, including behavioral psychiatry, su***de prevention services and the Chikasha Anokfilli, “thinking Chickasaw,” mental health initiative, which emphasizes prevention and early intervention with a focus on cultural traditions.
