There's something about seeing Old Glory flying along the roadways of a small town that just feels like home.

After last week's storm (yes, we are *still* picking up debris from the storm and will be for a while), our Public Works crew made sure to fix or replace damaged flags so that once again they will be flying properly and proudly!! Thank you, Eli. πŸ‘

It may seem like a small thing...but in the Village of Ada, small things matter. And that's the beauty of a small community that takes pride in the place we call home.

We take care of the Village. πŸ’™
We take care of our residents. ❀️
And we keep Old Glory flying. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Twenty-five years later, we remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001.

We remember the first responders who ran toward danger, the brave men and women who served, and the countless acts of courage that followed.

Today, the Village of Ada pauses to remember.

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ WE WILL NEVER FORGET πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Construction is underway on our new pump station, an important infrastructure improvement that will help support reliable water service for the Village of Ada for years to come.

πŸ— WHAT'S HAPPENING
The new pump station will house our new high-service pumps along with upgraded electrical controls. These improvements will modernize critical components of our water system and provide improved reliability and operational control.

πŸ’§ WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT
Our high-service pumps play a vital role in moving treated water through the distribution system and maintaining the pressure needed to provide dependable service to customers. The new equipment and upgraded controls will help improve the efficiency, reliability, and overall performance of the system.

πŸ”Œ UPGRADED ELECTRICAL CONTROLS
Will provide modernized monitoring and control capabilities, helping our operators manage the system more efficiently and respond to changing demands.

πŸš§πŸ‘·β€β™‚οΈCONSTRUCTION IS PROGRESSING
As you can see from the photos, the foundation and block construction are well underway!! The project is expected to be completed by December, 2027.

We appreciate everyone’s patience as this important project moves forward! Investing in our infrastructure today helps ensure reliable, quality water service for our community tomorrow. We would like to thank the State of Ohio for providing grant funding that's making this project possible.πŸ’™πŸ’§

If your yard was affected by the recent storm, please remember to safely clean up fallen branches and debris. 🌳

For large tree limbs, or trees that need to be removed, we have a list of licensed arborists https://www.adaoh.gov/village-ada-tree-care-license-holders who can help with tree removal within the Village.

We encourage residents to use a licensed arborist for large or hazardous trees/limbs rather than attempting the work themselves.

Stay safe, and thank you for helping keep Ada tidy and safe after the storm. 🌿

Having trouble finding our new water utility payment dropbox? We've got you covered!! πŸ“¨

The new dropbox is located along North Gilbert Street, in the Municipal Building parking lot next to the railroad tracks.

πŸš— The easiest way:

Pull in from N. Gilbert St. (Entrance closest to the tracks), follow the parking lot curb adjacent to the sidewalk. The dropbox is near the tree. Simply pull up, drop off your payment, and exit on the other side.

No need to get out of your vehicle!! πŸ™Œ

Yesterday, Ohio Northern University engineering capstone students toured the Village of Ada Water Treatment Plant to see firsthand how the water treatment process works...from source to tap! πŸ’§

It was a great opportunity to connect classroom learning with real-world engineering that helps keep our community running. The students followed the water treatment process from start to finish. Along the way, they got to see the equipment, processes, and technology that help provide safe, reliable drinking water. 🚰

Who knew there was so much engineering behind that glass of water sitting on your desk? πŸ˜‰

Thanks for stopping by, ONU!!
