The Virgin Valley Amateur Radio Club is hosting Special Event Station K7V to commemorate the Mesquite Senior Games Saturday the 25th. We will operate from 9 am until 2 pm PST on 7.220 and 14.230. Radio operators who contact us will be emailed our Special Event Certificate.

Hi All,

We are very blessed to enjoy an awesome, amazing hobby. There is nothing else like it! Once you are immersed in Amateur Radio, the fun and thrills are obvious, but it can be really hard to get our non ham friends to understand the excitement of it all.

There are so many really neat facets of the Amateur Radio hobby and this video touches on a few of them nicely. Please share this video with your non ham friends to help them understand and hopefully welcome them into an amazing, lifetime hobby!

Tonight's class will also include a DMR demo by listening in on Clark County NV ARES net. I will also check into my NV clubs weekly net via EchoLink.

This is to expand on last week's digital communications capabilities by using 2 different VOIP (voice over internet protocol) protocols.

Not ground breaking, but not too bad a start for the Post. One operator, one transceiver, and the antenna crash on Sunday morning. I had fun though!
