Taking Pride in Responsibility!

Towards the beginning of the year, our School Resource Officer, Officer Pat, taught several of our Safety Patrol students how to raise the American flag outside of our building. Since then, these students have proudly taken on the responsibility of raising the flag alongside Officer Pat on their designated days.

One morning Officer Pat was unable to assist with our typical flag routine, but these students stepped up and made sure the flag was still raised with the same care and respect that they had been taught.

We wanted to recognize these students for their initiative, responsibility, and commitment to serving our school community! They have shown us that leadership means doing the right thing, even when no one is there to remind you.

We are proud of these Wildcats for stepping up and representing our school with pride! 💙💛

🥔PRESENT POTATOES🥔

We are celebrating PRESENT students in a BIG way! Each class has their very own Mr. Potato Head and for every day the entire class is present at school, they get to add a new part to their potato!

Once a class completes their Mr. Potato Head, they earn a special visit from Mr. Potato Head himself—complete with a celebration and some Present Potato chips!

We have had many classes complete their Mr. Potato Head over the last several weeks! Thank you to families for ensuring that your students make it to school every day and on time! 💙💛

🎉🐾DIFFERENCE MAKERS CELEBRATION🐾🎉

We are so excited to celebrate some amazing Wildcats! One student from each grade level has been chosen for demonstrating outstanding character, being named Wildcat of the Week, consistently following directions, and being a wonderful friend and student to be around!

Let’s give these students a big round of applause for being positive role models and making a DIFFERENCE every day!

We would also like to give a shoutout to Buzz from Bartow Cares 4 U for making an appearance to meet and greet with our difference makers!

A huge thank you to Viviane Park for taking the time to inspire some of our high-achieving math students at ALES!

At just 23 years old, Viviane is already pursuing an exciting career as an engineer in Brazil! She shared her projects, experiences, and passion for engineering, encouraging our students—especially our girls—to dream big and explore the amazing opportunities available in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). She also showed our students how they can start exploring their interests in STEM right now, even in elementary school!

A huge thank you to Cobb EMC for your continued support of our students and school! We are so grateful for your incredible commitment to making a difference in our students’ lives.

Each month, Cobb EMC mentors visit our school to enjoy lunch with their mentees, build meaningful relationships, have inspiring conversations, and help students set goals for their future. In addition, Cobb EMC supports our school through generous grants and exciting author visits that enrich our students’ learning experiences.

📚Tier 1 Instruction in Action!📚

Our 3rd graders are diving deep into ELA with Arts & Letters! During this lesson, students engaged in echo reading, participated in collaborative discussions, and completed a writing task—all while using evidence from the text to support their thinking.

From reading and discussing to writing and responding, students are building the skills they need to become strong, thoughtful readers and writers. We love seeing high-quality Tier 1 instruction in action, with students actively engaging with grade-level content every step of the way!

A HUGE thank you to Kilwins Cartersville for their generous donation of “Scoops for Scholars”! This donation gives students the opportunity to enjoy a FREE scoop of ice cream at their location! We were so excited to share these sweet treats with some of our Wildcats who have been rocking their attendance!

Showing up every day matters, and we love celebrating students who are making attendance a priority! Every day at school is another opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed, and these Wildcats are giving themselves more opportunities to shine!

🏈❤️ Freddie Falcon Visit❤️🏈

What an exciting Friday at Allatoona Elementary! We were thrilled to welcome Freddie Falcon from the Atlanta Falcons for a special experience celebrating our Wildcats!

This program was about more than football. It was an opportunity to celebrate the people who make our school special! Through student and teacher recognition, Freddie Falcon helped us shine a spotlight on the hard work, dedication, and positive choices happening every day at The Lake. 🐾

The visit also included generous donations to support our school and students, helping make an impact that extends beyond one exciting day!

From the energy and school spirit to celebrating our students and staff, this was a wonderful reminder of the power of community, encouragement, and investing in the next generation.
