📢 Community Resource for Parents & Caregivers

The Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) is offering a 10-week Parent Empowerment Program for parents and caregivers of children and youth who have experienced commercial sexual exploitation.

This supportive virtual program provides a safe space to learn, ask questions, and connect with other parents. Topics include:
• Understanding commercial sexual exploitation
• How youth become victims
• Recognizing traffickers and exploitation
• The impact on youth and families
• Why youth may return to their exploiters
• Supporting healing and recovery
• Communication strategies
• Safety planning
• Self-care for parents and caregivers
• Community resources and support

📅 Program Begins: September 14
🕠 When: Mondays, 5:30–7:00 p.m. (10 weeks)
💻 Format: Virtual

Participants must attend at least 8 of the 10 sessions to complete the program.

🎁 Parents who complete the program will receive a $100 gift card.

Este programa virtual ofrece un espacio seguro y de apoyo para aprender, hacer preguntas y compartir experiencias con otros padres y cuidadores. Los temas incluyen:

Our office is closed today, Friday, July 3, in observance of the Independence Day holiday.
