We’re excited to welcome Choctaw County native and retired archaeologist and writer Evan Peacock to the Ackerman Library for an evening celebrating his newest book, Return to Elkins Creek: A Fishing Odyssey.
Evan, a graduate of Weir high school, will share stories from his latest book and his experiences exploring the places, memories, and adventures that have stayed with him.

🎉 LOCATION CHANGE! 🎉

Wow, Choctaw County—you showed up! Our very first line dancing class was such a hit that we completely outgrew the library's meeting room! 💃🕺

Beginning next Tuesday, our FREE community line dancing classes will be held at the Choctaw County Community Center so everyone has plenty of room to dance.

⏰ 6:00–7:00 p.m.

Whether you came to the first class or have been thinking about joining us, now is the perfect time! No experience is necessary, just come ready to have fun, get some exercise, and enjoy a great evening with your community.

👟 Please wear tennis shoes. The Community Center's floors have recently been refinished, and participants are asked to avoid wearing boots to help protect the new finish.

We can't wait to see everyone on the dance floor!
