👻 WANT TO BE PART OF THIS YEAR’S HAUNTED HOUSE? 🎃

The Town of Abita Springs is looking for residents who would like to help make this year’s haunted house a spooky and fun part of Autumn in the Park!

If you’re interested in helping with the haunted house—whether you have an idea, want to help build, decorate, act, organize, or just lend a hand—we’d love to have you join us!

PSA UPDATE: Water Leak Repair – Boil Water Advisory Lifted

As of 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2026, the precautionary boil water advisory for the 15 affected homes on Potievent, Millar, and Stire Streets has been lifted.

Water may now be used normally. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

​The water-line repair is complete.

A precautionary boil-water advisory remains in effect only for fifteen homes on Poitevent, Millar, and Stire Streets. All affected homeowners have been contacted, and a door hanger has been left at each residence.

If you were not directly notified, no action is required and you may continue to use your water as normal.

Get ready for an afternoon filled with community, fun, food, games, activities, local vendors, entertainment, music, candy, prizes, treats, fall-themed activities, and so much more! 🍁🎃🍰🎶

We’re bringing back the charm of an old-fashioned fall celebration with something for everyone to enjoy. And the best part? We want our entire community to be part of it!

Water-Leak Repair
9/8/2026, 11:30am

​Tomorrow morning, September 9, at approximately 8:00 a.m., the Town will begin repairing a significant water leak.

Our goal is to complete the repair with minimal impact to water service throughout the Town. While we will do everything possible to prevent an outage, please be prepared for a temporary interruption in water service.

If a water-service interruption occurs, the Town will issue a precautionary boil-water advisory.

We will send push notifications through the app to keep residents updated. Updates will also be posted on the Town’s website and page.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while this necessary repair is completed.

🎃 ABITA SPRINGS — WE'RE TRYING SOMETHING A LITTLE DIFFERENT THIS YEAR! 🍂
Since Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, we thought we'd take the opportunity to try something a little different!
Instead of doing the same old Trunk-or-Treat, the Town of Abita Springs is planning more of an old-fashioned fall celebration—a day filled with community, fun, food, games, activities, and a little Halloween spirit!
We'll still have some of our traditional Halloween activities, but we're also working on some new and exciting surprises that we think will make this year's celebration something special.
And we want YOU to be part of it!
We're looking for local businesses, vendors, civic organizations, churches, clubs, families, and individual residents who would like to participate.
Some of the things we're hoping to include are:
🍂 Games and activities
🥧 A pie baking contest
🎂 A cake walk
📖 A story corner
🎃 Pumpkin decorating
🛍️ Local vendors
🎶 Entertainment and music
🍬 Candy, prizes and treats
🌻 Fall-themed activities and contests
💡 And some surprises we aren't ready to reveal just yet!
There are lots of ways to participate, and we'd love to hear your ideas, too.
And this celebration isn't just for the kids! We want to create something that all of our residents can enjoy, whether you have children or grandchildren at home or simply want to spend an afternoon enjoying your community.
