We’re moving up in the world! Due to high demand and the permission from National Auto Center, we now have TWO Planet Aid donation bin located across the street from Mia Regazza in the Town of Abington MA!

When you donate clothing, shoes, and textiles to these bins, the proceeds go directly into the Abington Veterans Discretionary Fund to support local Veterans and surviving spouses facing hardships.

Clean out those closets and help support your neighbors right here in our community! A small donation can make a big difference.

If you see this beauty running around town, there’s a good chance one of our volunteers is behind the wheel helping a Veteran or surviving spouse get where they need to go. Most days, it’s not the Veterans Agent driving it, it’s providing free transportation so local Veterans and surviving spouses can get to appointments safely, reliably, and at no cost!

See us around town? Honk and give us a wave! More importantly, if you or someone you know needs a ride, give us a call at (781) 982-0056.

A local resident recently sent us this photo, and we thought it was a perfect reminder of what these signs throughout Abington truly represent.

Private First Class Lloyd R. Clapp grew up in Abington before serving in the United States Army during World War II. At just 25 years old, he was Killed in Action during the Battle of Okinawa on May 25, 1945, only weeks before the war came to an end. He left behind family, friends, and a community that still remembers him today.

These signs aren’t just street toppers. They're reminders that ordinary people from our neighborhoods answered the call, served their country, and in some cases, never made it home. As you drive around town and see names like Lloyd Clapp’s above our streets, take a moment to remember the person behind the sign and the sacrifice that name represents. Never forgotten.

FREE CAR GIVEAWAY FOR A VETERAN OR SPOUSE OF A DECEASED VETERAN!!!

An incredible 88-year-old resident reached out to us & donated her beautiful Lincoln Town Car with just over 81,000 miles to help someone in need in our community.

She donated this vehicle in memory of her brother, Wesley Philbrick, a World War II Army Veteran from Nashua, NH, who was wounded in combat, lost his arm after being found under a German tank for 3-days, and survived against the odds. This donation honors his sacrifice and legacy of service.

This community stepped up once again! Mr. Stone from Abington Sunoco Auto Service Tire & Towing completed a full inspection, replaced a tire, handled the RMV paperwork, and made sure the vehicle was road ready. Sure Shine Auto Detailing and Pro Tint detailed it inside and out at no cost. We’ll cover licensing and registration, so this vehicle goes to someone completely free and clear.

If you or someone you know is a Town of Abington MA Veteran or spouse of a deceased Veteran in need, comment below or message us explaining the situation. We’ll review submissions over the next couple weeks and select a recipient.

Please share and help us find this car the perfect home. God bless our Veterans and this community! 🇺🇸

This month on Abington Veterans Muster, we introduce the new Veterans History Project and discuss the incredible effort behind raising $84,000 for the new Veteran transportation van!!

Our guest this month is Lou Paragona from the The Abington Rotary Club, who joins us to talk about the history of Rotary International, community service, and how they raised the funds for our new Veteran transportation vehicle. Thanks to them, our Veterans and spouses of deceased Veterans in the Town of Abington MA will have free transportation to medical appointments and VA facilities for many years to come!

Thank you Travis Partington and Abington CAM for continuing to help share these stories and highlight the incredible work happening around town.

Thanks to Abington Lowe's Home Improvement for donating a brand new EGO electric lawnmower, valued at nearly $800, to a Vietnam Veteran and his wife. Due to health complications connected to Agent Orange, their old push mower was becoming increasingly difficult to use, and we couldn’t think of a more deserving family.

Thank you also to our DPW team for helping deliver and set it up. Town of Abington community partnerships like this make a real difference for our Veterans!! 🇺🇸
